Peter Šumichrast lives life to the fullest. His passion for motoring has taken him across the world, and as a devoted food lover, he enjoys coming for gastronomy. Peter travels for wine, food and experiences that leave a lasting source of inspiration. From these journeys came the idea for BISTRIC Restaurant - to create a place in Bratislava with European flavours that take Slovak cuisine to a world-class level.

After studying at the hotel academy, he gained experience in Prague, at the Bratislava restaurant Le Monde, and later in London, where he also worked at the Michelin-starred Francatelli. He enriched his international experience with a six-year stint in Vienna and work with premium clientele at the X-Bionic Sphere complex. Today, he fully utilises his rich domestic and global experience as the chef of the Bistric restaurant, where he leads a team with which he creates modern gastronomy built on solid foundations.
